These are the ramblings of a self-described wheat, grain and gluten-free “gourmet girl” that loves to cook and eat good food. I love creating and sharing recipes and photographing “beautiful food”. In July 2012, I eliminated wheat, grains and added sugar from my diet and rediscovered real, whole fresh foods again and effortlessly lost 65+ pounds. Join me in my wheat, grain and gluten-free journey. See how easy it is to enjoy grain free gourmet, one meal at a time! Welcome to my blog. Enjoy!
This evening I was in the mood for tacos. I had a beautiful head of fresh bibb lettuce in the fridge and a package of ground round beef. I made my own taco seasoning, shredded some sharp cheddar cheese and diced a beautiful red ripe tomato I had sitting on the counter...and "Boom"...dinner was ready in no time! It was a delicious, fresh and beautiful meal that was so simple to put together. Today was a gorgeous day here -- upper 70s/80 and sunny...except for the sky-high pollen counts (about 2,100)..."I say as I type and sneeze my head off"...it was a picture perfect day. Spring has definitely sprung! My once black car is now heavily coated with yellow-green pollen -- I am actually looking forward to the rain later this week to wash some of it out of the air. I snapped a couple photos of my tacos below and the link to the taco seasoning recipe is here: -----> Tacos Enjoy!
