Update on My Absence...

It's been a little over a week since I've posted and I know many of you who follow me and my almost daily posts are probably wondering where I've been. I wish I could say that I've been away on an exciting vacation or journey...but I can't.

My family received some very, very sad news a week ago...and I'm just not ready to "talk" about it yet. We are all heartbroken and unbelievably sad. I will be posting occasionally, but for now, not as frequently. Until I am ready and able to say more, I would like to ask you to please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers...and one more thing; tell your loved ones how much you love them because none of us ever know what tomorrow will bring.

With love...Ayla

My heart is heavy as I read this. You give so much to us all Ayla, I most certainly will keep you and your family in my prayers. Holiday time is difficult enough without more.

Ayla, you and your family are in my prayers. This life is one long test and part of that test is never knowing when it will be our turn or the turn of a loved one to "go the way of all the world". God bless you.

I am so sorry for the sad news you all received. Sometimes life has some heart breaking things to deal with. I just figured with the holidays everyone was busy. GOD is able to do above and beyond anything we could ask. May GOD be ever present with you all at this time.

If ever anyone doubts that strong relationships can be forged online (thinking of the dating sites,) they should just follow YOU to see how much you can connect with someone you've never even met. I just learned your name was Ayla - such a pretty name! You have made my grain free journey effortless and fun, and I choose the blog vs pinterest because I love your chatty style and commentary. Whatever you are going through, you know that you have HUNDREDS, perhaps even THOUSANDS, of friends online who may not have commented but are nonetheless thinking and praying for you and your family in this time of crisis and sadness. Take all the time you need and don't worry about us - but we'll all be waiting to hear if and how we can help. Cathy Weil

Your recipes have given me wonderful meals these past few years. I reaching out to you and saying thanks.
We have all had these events which turn our life upside down. Sometimes we are able to overcome them and go back to our routines. Sometimes we have to carve out a new life and daily routine. With love in your heart, you can do anything! With your healthy way of eating, at least you are better able to cope with the stress. Praying for you and yours.

Prayers to you and your family in this time of sorrow. Have faith knowing that our situations here are just temporary, as we will all be together again, whole, healed and in God's loving eternal heavenly home. Life is a "flash of light in the dark of night." But our heavenly home is eternal. God bless.

I swear you are the only person online who moves my heart to post a comment. My first post was on a Honeyville recipe you created and posted and now this. My friend...my heart goes out to you and your family in this very difficult time. I am sending prayers into the universe on your behalf and positive vibes your way. Blessings.....

Dear, dear Ayla, you are such a wonderful and giving person, although I have never been fortunate to meet you in person, I have felt your warmth when I told you about my physical problems. You always embraced everything I shared with you, like old friends do . Everybody should be so lucky to have a person like you in their lives. So now you encounter sadness in your life and I give you a heartfelt hug and wish I could make everything less painful for you! We all love you and maybe that sentiment will lessen your pain. You will be in my thoughts and prayers !
Your Barbara.

The same thing happened to my older brother a couple of years agao. He went to the ER
with bad back pains and was given the same news as your mother. He passed in about three weeks. He never had any clue like your mother. You recipes have all been wonderful. Thank you so much. I pray that the Lord will heal you pain.
