Why it is that sometimes it is the simplest things we overlook sometimes? I bet it is delicious and would be a great way to use up extra fresh herbs before they go bad! You could season it so many different ways, too! If I could send rain your way, I would...but I do envy your climate. I loved the climate in San Diego and San Francisco. It has been over 10 years since I visited California -- I remember we went in July and it was so cold in San Francisco that we had to buy sweatshirts and jackets!!! July here is sweltering hot and muggy -- we were quite surprised by how beautiful the temperature was there in the summer. It is also a very beautiful state. I understand completely about not wanting to get rid of our beloved belongings -- it is hard. I know that my kids probably won't even be interested in most of my belongings when I'm gone...but they hold lots of sentimental value for me, so I keep them. Thanks for the great idea about making your own herb butter and cream cheese...that would be fun to top different grilled meats or fresh veggies with! Take care. :-)Gourmet Girl Cookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10741830600608488811noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2285523888432056855.post-22902220946877706692013-05-21T17:00:12.250-04:002013-05-21T17:00:12.250-04:00Hi GG, just wanted to tell you that I made the &qu...Hi GG, just wanted to tell you that I made the "herb" butter in my food processor. I *googeled* the ingredients and voila prepared it in 5 minutes!
I do the same with cream cheese, just garlic, parsley and black pepper. Tastes like *Alouette*.
Take care, Barbara.unter der laternehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07128693611242988987noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2285523888432056855.post-84177432549175427512013-05-21T16:53:28.216-04:002013-05-21T16:53:28.216-04:00Hi GG, could you please send some rain to Californ...Hi GG, could you please send some rain to California? It is hard for me to go month after month without it. I so miss the fragrance in the air after a rain fall. Our skies are mostly cloudless during the summer, quite boring as I am a lover of them. But I should not complain, other wise it is quite wonderful to live here. The best climate from all the countries I lived in actually, since I am so heat-intolerant. That is getting worse with age! But what is not?
LOL
A propos cellar- that can be a curse too, one tends to fill it up over the years. Our house is in need of retro-fitting(earthquakes) and I have the difficult task of getting rid of" my beloved stuff".
Be well and safe CC! Thank you for always helping me out!
Barbara from California.unter der laternehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07128693611242988987noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2285523888432056855.post-5644630911118776022013-05-21T12:52:21.623-04:002013-05-21T12:52:21.623-04:00Hi CyberSis! It's sunny today but more rain on the way for tomorrow -- no deficit of rain here this spring! :-)Gourmet Girl Cookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10741830600608488811noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2285523888432056855.post-27961633815207614302013-05-20T23:21:14.399-04:002013-05-20T23:21:14.399-04:00Seven inches of rain, you say!
