This evening, hubby and I went out for a late dinner to kick off the long Memorial Day Weekend. We tried a place we had never been to before but had read that it served some of the best burgers and that they locally source their food (which is always a good thing).
We enjoyed some of the best burgers ever, made using locally sourced grass fed beef. The burgers were topped with homemade pimento cheese, thick sliced bacon and pickled jalapeños. It was served alongside Brussels Sprouts & Red Pepper Slaw (to die for). It was an amazing meal. The slaw made with brussels sprouts was some of the best I've ever had. Hubby enjoyed his burger (but ate his on a bun) alongside bacon macaroni and cheese (just in case you were wondering if that little casserole dish was mine...it wasn't). LOL Check out a quick photo of my meal below. Enjoy!
These are the ramblings of a self-described wheat, grain and gluten-free “gourmet girl” that loves to cook and eat good food. I love creating and sharing recipes and photographing “beautiful food”. In July 2012, I eliminated wheat, grains and added sugar from my diet and rediscovered real, whole fresh foods again and effortlessly lost 65+ pounds. Join me in my wheat, grain and gluten-free journey. See how easy it is to enjoy grain free gourmet, one meal at a time! Welcome to my blog. Enjoy!

Glad you enjoyed the squash casserole. We ate at Local Republic on the square in downtown Lawrenceville. :-)
